Chorus by ZoomInfo in 2026: Cheaper Than Gong, Until You Count the ZoomInfo Bundle

Chorus itself is cheaper than Gong. But Chorus without ZoomInfo is rare in the wild, and ZoomInfo is the fee that changes the maths.

§Product Overview

Chorus was acquired by ZoomInfo in 2021 for $575 million and rebranded as Chorus by ZoomInfo. It is a Revenue Intelligence platform - post-call recording, transcription, topic tracking, deal intelligence, and CRM push. The product has been deeply integrated into ZoomInfo's data-enrichment flywheel: call context flows into ZoomInfo's contact and account records, and ZoomInfo's intent data flows into Chorus's deal views.

Chorus is strong on topic trackers and real-time battle cards. Its coaching library is comparable to Gong's Foundation tier for most use cases. The key differentiator is the ZoomInfo data integration - if you are already a ZoomInfo customer, Chorus becomes a natural extension. If you are not, you are paying for two platforms where Gong covers the call intelligence side without requiring a separate data subscription.

§The ZoomInfo Bundle Math

Vendor-stated pricing: ZoomInfo and Chorus both gate pricing. Figures from Marketbetter, TrustRadius, Nimitai, Vendr, and G2 deal data. April 2026.

Chorus standalone pricing

$8,000/year base (3 seats) + $1,200/additional user/year

Effective per-seat rate: $1,000-$1,400/user/year. A 10-seat team with the $8k base pays approximately $16,400/year for Chorus alone.

ZoomInfo subscription (if required)

$15,000 - $40,000+/year

ZoomInfo's core data platform costs $15k-$40k+ depending on seat count and data tier. Most sales teams buying Chorus that are not already ZoomInfo customers end up needing the ZoomInfo subscription to access the integration value that makes Chorus compelling. Without it, Chorus is Gong-with-less-coaching-depth at a marginally lower price.

Worked examples with ZoomInfo bundle

ScenarioChorusZoomInfoTotalvs Gong Foundation
10-seat, no ZoomInfo$16,400-$16,400$25,500 (Gong cheaper)
10-seat + ZoomInfo $20k$16,400$20,000$36,400$25,500 (Gong cheaper)
10-seat existing ZI customer$16,400$0 (already paying)$16,400Chorus wins by $9k
50-seat + ZoomInfo $30k$57,200$30,000$87,200~$85k (roughly equal)

Critical insight: Chorus appears cheaper than Gong at the per-seat level, but for teams that are not existing ZoomInfo customers, adding the ZoomInfo subscription to unlock the integration value makes the total comparable to or more expensive than Gong. The only clean Chorus win is for existing ZoomInfo shops.

Contract term: Chorus typically requires a 2-year contract with 50-100% of the remaining contract value as breakage on early termination. This is more onerous than Gong's 12-month term.

§When Chorus Wins and When It Loses

Chorus wins when:

  • - Already a ZoomInfo customer (especially ZoomInfo Copilot tier)
  • - Real-time battle cards are a must-have (Chorus strongest here)
  • - Price sensitivity vs Gong is material and ZoomInfo is already budgeted
  • - 3-year bulk deal with ZoomInfo is negotiable (can make Chorus very competitive)

Chorus loses when:

  • - Not an existing ZoomInfo customer (bundle math erases the savings)
  • - Heavy Salesforce-native workflow (Gong slightly tighter)
  • - Coaching programme depth is primary priority (Gong wins)
  • - 2-year contract is a hard blocker (Gong's 12-month is more flexible)
